Location is a vital aspect of real estate. It determines to a large extent the success of the property owner therefore, it has to be meticulously considered when purchasing property.
Bellow are tips on what to consider to find the best location.
  1. Look out for a developed or developing area – site your property where you see other buildings. If you cannot find other buildings and there is no sign of anyone springing up in the nearest future then you may have to consider other places.
  2. Check the statutory laws guiding the area – another important thing to consider in finding a nice location is the law guiding the area . Is the place a government approved area? Was the approval for commercial or residential? Is there any master plan for that area? These are some of the questions that need to be answered before you can be sure of purchasing a nice property.
  3. Consider the population of the area – you need to look around the street to ascertain the population. A well-populated area always makes a good location.
  4. Check for basic amenities – a good location should have electricity, water and should not be far from market, school and hospital. If you can find those basic amenities within the neighborhood it is an indication that you have gotten a good location.
  5. Consider the access road – another vital thing to consider if you are looking for the right location is the road. Usually, if the condition of the road is good more people will be attracted to that area thereby increasing the demand for rental property and the value of property in that area.
  6. Consider the topography – the arrangement of the surface, natural and other physical features of the area should be considered when looking for the right location. The type of soil and it’s capacity should be examined before you settle for a particular location.
  7. Security features of the area – you cannot have a good location without security. The security situation of the area should be well considered before making purchase. If the area has a low crime rate then you have a nice location.
